Murcia Comenius Visit - June 21th - 30th - Itinerary

Monday 21st June

Newstead Wood students have maths exams.
Coach to pick up Spanish students from their Youth Hostel on Monday afternoon. Coach to drop off at Newstead Wood School. Parents to pick up from there.

Tuesday 22nd June

Newstead students to accompany their partners to school.
Visit to London. 9:30 train to Victoria. Take bus or walk up to Buckingham Palace. See Changing of the Guard. Walk down The Mall to Trafalgar Square and visit The National Gallery. Shopping time in Covent Garden. Return to Orpington Station at 5:30.


Wednesday 23rd June

Newstead students to accompany their partners to school. Treasure hunt & shopping in Bromley during the morning. Back for lunch with partners at Newstead Wood. Sports Day in the afternoon.


Thursday 24th June

Newstead students to accompany their partners to school. Visit to London. 9:30 train to Victoria. Tube to South Kensington. Visit to National History Museum & some time for shopping and lunch in South Kensington. Afternoon visit to The British Museum. Return to Orpington Station 5:30.


Friday 25th June
Day in school spent with partner observing English school Day
Newstead students to accompany their partners to school. Partners to attend lessons with them and have lunch with them. Whole school day.

Saturday 26th June
Day spent with host families.

Sunday 27th June
eFinal revision day for Newstead students if necessary.
Newstead students to accompany their partners to Newstead Wood School. Meet in Tennis club car park at 9:00.
Day trip to Brighton by coach. Newstead Wood students can attend if they are up to date with their science revision. Pick up at school at 6:00pm.

Monday 28th June

Newstead Wood students have science exams.
Newstead students to accompany their partners to school.
Visit to London: 9:30 train to London Bridge. Walk along South Bank & see the Globe Theatre, visit The Tate Gallery, cross The Milenium Bridge and see St. Paul’s Cathedral. Return to Orpington Station at 4:00.
Trip to a show in London in the evening. Not booked yet.

Tuesday 29th June
Drama day
Students work together to act out the drama work prepared by the Spanish students.

Wednesday 30th June
Drama day continue developing plays & possibly other drama activities.Coach to Gatwick airport after school to check in 17:00.
